Buckling wall in Morrisville, VT. Years of frost heaving and settling have shoved this mass of stone out of plumb and opened up large voids, allowing cold air and rodents to enter the basement.

Steel reinforcement (both rebar and 6" x 6" remesh) is placed over the wall to make sure that the gunite will have superior strength.

Foundation Repair
Montpelier, VT 2009

This foundation repair project required no external jacking or cribbing on beams. The new wall almost looks poured concrete and like it has always been there.

The same wall before the shoot- notice the existing concrete wall we attached the new gunite wall above to. it appears in the new wall as a smooth bump.

This crumbling wall needed to be filled with gunite into all cavities and then receive between 5 - 12 inches of wall built of cement on the inside of wall. The result will be a new load bearing wall which will resist heaving and bind the original wall.

Steel is added for tensile strength in both the vertical and lateral directions. This creates a superior wall that is the coupled with 6,000 psi gunite.

Cut and unfinished gunite wall that is sealed with a no- voc concrete sealer for increasing the dryness of the basement.  Windows are furred out with new sills and plates with sill seal to address the need for added depth of wall.
